However, Wade was one of the first victims of Chopper’s murderous rampage, a loss that devastated Gaven. Though he continues to run the brewery, locals quietly note that his heart isn’t in it anymore, and the once-perfect brews have lost their former quality. Gaven clings to his faith, but doubt gnaws at him—was Wade’s death preventable? Was he too weak to protect his brother? These questions haunt him, making his once-joyful work feel like an obligation rather than a passion.
