In the 14th century DR, Beregost was a small town of about forty main buildings, smaller structures placed on the outskirts of town, and larger family states were built outside of the town's borders. The grandest structure in Beregost was the Song of the Morning temple complex to the east of Beregost's center. Further away stood a ruined shell of an old castle atop a hill of what used to be the Ulcaster School of Wizardry. The Wizards' Doom Creek rivulet streamed off the ruined school's hill and towards the coast, across the Coast Way.

A range of mountains in the west Faerûn that marked the northern border of Amn and its separation from the Sword Coast and the Western Heartlands. While the Cloud Peaks were a relatively small mountain range, they were very tall, with Mount Speartop at an elevation of 14,500 feet (4,420 meters) above sea level. Fauna Many sheep and goats roamed and grazed the foothills of the Cloud Peaks, and remorhazes were among the apex predators of the region.[1] Winter wolves were also endemic, and hunted for their pelts

While it appears serene from the outside, it is a vibrant ecosystem teeming with various creatures, including hobgoblins, centaurs, hybsils, satyrs, goblinoids, humans, elves, goblins, and gnolls, each vying for control of its resources.
