This campaign is set in the Avatar universe shortly after the fall of the Earth Empire. Ba Sing Se and its surrounding regions are undergoing massive political reform, shifting from monarchy to democratic republics amid the power vacuum left by the Empire’s collapse. Spirits are active and often unpredictable, and bending is both a gift and a tool in daily life and conflict. 🌀 Description: At the heart of a vast circular crater lies the Tree of Time, towering, ancient, and pulsing with chi. This zone is a liminal space, where light and shadow duel in slow motion across the sky. The crater is ringed by moss-covered cliffs and endless tunnels of roots. Both Northern and Southern portals open into opposing edges of the crater, always within walking distance of the tree—but never quite close enough to touch it without trial or intent. Spirits here are more aware—watching, ancient, and powerful. Some recognize mortals who’ve entered before. The very emotions of visitors may reshape the path to the tree. 🌱 Portal Interaction: This POI allows travel to either the Northern (Aurora Spire Basin) or Southern (Glacial Root Expanse) portals, depending on which one was used to arrive. Return is always possible from the same portal used to enter.
