Description

The Tidal Leviathan is a legendary sea monster known to terrorize coastal towns and fishing vessels. With its massive serpentine body coiling through the ocean depths, it is said to command storms and tidal waves, dragging entire ships into the abyss. Its presence is marked by the swirling currents and sudden, violent squalls, as well as eerie, bioluminescent patterns along its scaled skin that glow ominously in the water.

Actions

Bite

Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 4d10 + 8 piercing damage and the target must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be grappled (escape DC 18). The Leviathan can only grapple one creature at a time in this way.

Mighty Surge

The Tidal Leviathan can create a violent wave, forcing all creatures within a 60-foot cone to make a DC 18 Strength saving throw or take 4d12 bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone, half damage on a successful save.

Swallow

The Tidal Leviathan can try to swallow a creature grappled by it. If the target is Medium or smaller, it must succeed on a DC 18 Strength saving throw or be swallowed. The creature is blinded and restrained, it takes 4d10 acid damage at the start of each of its turns while swallowed. If the Leviathan takes 30 damage or more on a single turn from the swallowed creature, it must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate the swallowed creature, which falls prone in a space within 10 feet of the Leviathan.
