🛡️ FEDRA Combat Doctrine (2013–2018)

“Control the situation before it controls you.”

FEDRA doesn’t fight like a normal army anymore. Their priorities are:

  • Containment over elimination

  • Speed over precision

  • Survival over heroics

Every soldier is trained to:

  • Avoid unnecessary engagements

  • Maintain formation discipline

  • Assume any situation can collapse instantly

👉 The biggest rule: Never lose control of the engagement and your squad always stick together

all FEDRA forces are given proper training before entering the field and also given a guide book.

🧟 Tactics Against Infected

⚡ 1. Immediate Response (Contact Drill)

When infected are spotted:

  • Shout contact warning (short, simple)

  • Form a tight firing line or wedge

  • Engage immediately—no hesitation

In there handbook it says "Delay = death. infected close distance faster than you think."

🔫 2. Controlled Volume Fire

  • Aim center mass initially

  • Transition to headshots when possible

  • Automatic fire allowed in emergencies

But:

  • Ammo is conserved when possible

  • Soldiers trained not to panic-fire

🧱 3. Distance is Survival

FEDRA emphasizes:

  • Never let infected get within 10–15 feet

  • Fall back in controlled steps if overrun

  • Use barriers to your advantage:

    • Vehicles

    • Doors

    • Fences

to generate space and slow down the infected

👉 Every fight is about buying reaction time.

🚪 4. Chokepoint Usage

Infected are fast—but not tactical.

FEDRA exploits this:

  • Funnel infected into:

    • Hallways

    • Stairwells

    • Streets with barricades

  • Then:

    • Concentrated fire

    • Minimal exposure

🔥 5. Denial Tactics

If an area is compromised:

  • Seal it

  • Burn it

  • Abandon it

👉 FEDRA will abandon territory rather than risk the loss of men or materials.

🧪 6. Contamination Protocol

After any encounter:

  • Immediate inspection for blood exposure

  • Anyone suspected:

    • Isolated and tested

    • Detained until test comes back

    • most likely executed if no testing kits available

👉 Fear of infection is as important as the infected themselves.

Tactics Against Bandits / Human Threats

👁️ 1. Surveillance First

FEDRA avoids blind fights.

  • Scouts observe before engagement

  • Identify:

    • Numbers

    • Weapons

    • Movement patterns

👉 They prefer to control the fight before it starts

🎯 2. Overwhelming Force

FEDRA rarely fights fair.

  • Brings:

    • More men

    • Better weapons

    • Stronger positioning

  • Goal:

    • End conflict quickly

    • Minimize FEDRA casualties

🚧 3. Checkpoint Control

Most bandit encounters happen near:

  • Roads

  • Supply routes

  • QZ entrances

FEDRA tactics:

  • Layered checkpoints

  • Kill zones (open areas with no cover)

  • Clear lines of fire

🪤 4. Ambush & Counter-Ambush

Against bandits:

  • FEDRA uses:

    • Flanking units

    • Elevated positions

    • Suppression fire

If ambushed:

  • Immediate return fire

  • Spread out, then regroup

  • Push aggressively to break ambush

🧠 5. Psychological Warfare

FEDRA wants control, not constant fighting.

They use:

  • Public executions

  • Displays of force

  • Strict enforcement of rules

👉 The goal is to make resistance feel pointless

🔗 6. Capture Over Kill (Situational)

Bandits may be:

  • Interrogated

  • Forced into labor

  • Used for intelligence

But:

  • If resistance is heavy → lethal force

⚖️ Mixed Threat Situations (Most Dangerous)

When infected and bandits overlap:

  • FEDRA priority:

    1. Contain infected

    2. Eliminate or scatter humans

Sometimes they will:

  • Use infected as a weapon (indirectly)

  • Withdraw and let both sides weaken each other

🎯 Training Differences (Subtle Detail You Can Use)

  • New recruits:

    • Rigid, by-the-book

    • More likely to panic

    • more likely to survive encounter's with infected but not humans (training is fresh)

  • Veterans:

    • Calm under pressure

    • Ruthless decision-making

    • Know when to retreat

💡common protocol's

  • Everyone checks each other for cuts bits or blood on them after fights with infected

  • Silence before entering buildings is standard

  • underground tight spaces, dark area's and Doors are treated as potential death traps
