Seihō

The Floating Island of Divine Law

Suspended beyond mortal sight, drifting upon clouds of starlight and mist, lies Seihō, the Floating Island of Divine Law. Known as a sanctuary where deities dwell far from the struggles of the mortal world, Seihō is a place of breathtaking splendor. Endless groves of silvery cherry blossoms line its paths, their petals falling like constellations upon mirror-like pools that reflect both sky and spirit. The very air hums with divine resonance, carrying whispers of forgotten truths and eternal harmony.

At the heart of the island towers the Celestial Cherry Tree, an immense, radiant being said to be older than the world itself. Its roots thread through heaven and earth alike, binding Seihō to the cosmic order. Around its trunk, some gods have raised their shining halls or woven their dwellings into its branches, creating a divine city that glows like a second constellation in the heavens.

Seihō is governed by the Kotomatsukami, the first generation of gods. Among them, three reign supreme as the Zōkasanshin, the divine trinity of creation itself, whose will shaped the seas, skies, and lands of Yamato. Their decrees are absolute, forming the law by which both gods and spirits must abide. Though many kami dwell here, no mortal may enter without invitation, for Seihō remains shrouded in divine veils, untouched by corruption, its sanctity preserved.

Mortals glimpse Seihō only in rare dreams or visions, when a god deems their heart worthy. To the people of Yamato, the Floating Island is not only a seat of divinity but a reminder: all life is cradled within law, harmony, and creation, as laid down by the first gods themselves.
