The Skycrawler is a new invention. A winged machine capable of flight through the use of SLAGG powered propulsion engines, able to drop bombs on battlefields below.
First invented by the White Crowns, early Skycrawlers were made of wood to keep them light and would engage in combat via the pilot leaning out to one side and dropping bombs by hand. With the adoption of the technology by other factions the war started to see combat between rival Skycrawlers in the air. This has locked the factions of the world in a technical arms race to improve the resistance and destructive power of these vehicles. Most skycrawlers now are equipped with sheet metal armour, and often have front facing machineguns for when they engage in dogfights with enemy skycrawlers.
Due to their early adoption of the technology the White Crowns are by far the most advanced in the field of aerial weaponry, wielding fleets of advanced pilots. They are also working on a secret project, a gargantuan airship, the Aerial Dreadnaught, aimed at establishing permanent dominance in the skies.
Skycrawlers often work in formations, rarely being sent on lone missions.
