In a single, world-altering moment, the two sorcerers tore open a volatile, emerald-green tear in the fabric of reality, permanently linking the Black Morass of Azeroth to the Hellfire Peninsula of Draenor.
The activation of the portal triggered the First War. Legions of green-skinned @Orcs poured through the shimmering gateway, burning the @Kingdom of Stormwind to ash and staining the surrounding swamplands with blood, turning the region into what is now known as the Blasted Lands.
