The city was founded during the early reign of Aurix the Gold, when his decree demanded a harbor of peace and plenty to feed the inland cities. Over centuries, it grew into more than just a port—it became a beacon of culture, trade, and faith.

It is said the city earned its name because the wind here never smells of salt and rot, but of jasmine, citrus, and clean rain. Sailors believe the breezes are Aurix’s blessing, carrying ships home safely.
