The Aetherion Empire
Ruler: His Radiance, Emperor Cael Aetherion VII
Capital: Iron Isle (located in the Concord Isles)
Title of Realm: The Eternal Empire of Aetherion
The Empire stands as the greatest political power in the known world — not because of unity, but because every region remembers the cost of being divided. The Tower Wars, the Demon Awakening, and the God’s Departure all nearly shattered civilization. Only by forming a single banner was survival possible.
Today, Aetherion endures — strong, proud, and always preparing for the next catastrophe.
The Four Regions of the Empire
1. Aeloria — The Elven Region
Land of Silver Forests and Moonlit Cities
Known for immortal architecture, singing spires, and ancient memory libraries.
Home to the Aelorian Skyguard and the Moon-Seers, the closest thing the Empire has to prophets.
Elves here believe the gods left because mortals grew violent — and they secretly fear humanity may repeat history.
Ruler: Queen Seralyth Vanyara
2. Durnhal — The Dwarven Region
The Mountain Kingdoms of Iron and Ember
Carved into colossal mountains, illuminated by magma rivers and gemstone chandeliers.
Renowned for steelwork, rune-smithing, siegecraft, and fortification engineering.
Their creed: “Only the mountain endures.”
Ruler: High Thane Brokk Stonevein III
3. Valecrown — The Human Heartlands
Breadbasket, battleground, and political arena
Endless fields, fortified cities, noble estates, academies of war and scholarship.
Home to the noble Houses, each seeking influence but bound by imperial law.
The region most loyal to the Emperor — but also the one most likely to rebel if pushed.
Regional Steward (appointed): Duchess Rhiannon Hale
4. Iron Isle — Mixed Homeland
Where all peoples live together — willingly or unwillingly
A plentiful region where the war-hosts assembled in the Godless Age.
Now a melting pot of culture, trade, disputes, innovation, and danger.
Contains the greatest city in the world:
Seat of the Emperor and Imperial Bureaucracy
Home of the Grand Collegium of Magic
Military headquarters of the Imperial Legions
Site of Turris Imperium, the sealed tower whose key is held by the Emperor alone
If Aetherion is a body, Iron Isle is its heart — pumping power, culture, soldiers, and law into every land.
His Radiance, Emperor Cael Aetherion VII
Title: Dragon of the Concord Throne
Age: 42
Reign: 17 Years
Reputation: Just, Unyielding, Strategically Merciless
Appearance:
Tall, regal posture, silver-streaked black hair, eyes like polished steel. Wears minimal jewelry — the throne itself is symbol enough.
Personality:
Believes peace must be enforced
Speaks little, listens deeply
Unafraid to sacrifice political goodwill for long-term stability
Treats the Tower threat as inevitable, not hypothetical
Quote:
“We do not endure the age. We define it.”
Imperial Doctrine
The Empire stands on three beliefs:
Life is sacred.
Civilization must be defended.
Magic is a privilege, not a right.
Violation of (3) is treason.
