The Prophecy of the Six Beyond the Veil, Aeterni Viatores 13 MA
Recorded in the final illuminated page of the Lux-Ferrum Cathedral Codex.
“when shadow and ember breathe again,
Six souls from no land of Agorath shall awaken in flesh anew.
Not of the gods, nor of the bloodlines of men,
but of foreign memory and untamed heart.
For only the wanderer can unwrite the chains of destiny.”
These six are known now as:
“Aeterni Viatores” — The Eternal Travelers.
The Six Eternal Travelers
1. The Leader — Capitulus Tenebris (“The Black Crown”)
A strikingly handsome dark-haired man marked by ink and steel.
He carries a presence like a king not yet crowned.
Prophetic Role:
He is the Chooser of Paths.
If he stands firm, unity forms.
If he breaks, the world fractures.
Blessing (Sleeping):
Demons fear his existence.
Angels observe him.
Neither side claims him — both want to.
2. The Dwarf with Stunning Pink Hair — Sirenus Contrarius (“The Inverted Siren”)
A melody in contradiction — soft appearance, thunderous voice.
Prophetic Role:
His voice can sway spirits, soften storms, or rally armies.
Blessing (Dormant):
When he sings in sincerity, courage rises.
When he sings in fury, demons flinch.
3. The Water-Loving Man — Marefrater (“The Brother of the Tides”)
Calm, steady, likes splashing with the boys.
His heart is deep water—still above, vast below.
Prophetic Role:
The Emotional Anchor — he prevents collapse of the group.
Blessing (Subtle):
Water responds to him.
He may accidentally found a shirtless ocean monastery someday.
4. The Dimwitted Long-Haired Girl — Lunafallens (“The Moonless Fawn”)
Soft, cheerful, never quite in sync with the world.
Yet the world loves her.
Prophetic Role:
She navigates fate by accident — her instincts are truer than logic.
Blessing (Hidden):
Nature shields her — predators simply forget to attack her.
5. The Short Guy With the Emu — Aviarius Externus (“The Outland Beastmaster”)
Accent unintelligible, confidence unshakable.
His Emu is not merely a bird — it is a slumbering myth-beast.
Prophetic Role:
The Guide — where he walks, paths appear.
Blessing (Emerging):
The Emu can detect demon corruption.
People have already tried to start a cult around it. Twice.
6. The Insufferably Annoying, Crude, Aggressive Woman With an Unfitting Name — Divus Rosa (“The Saint of Roses”)
A rose with iron thorns.
Her voice shatters silence. Her fists shatter problems.
Prophetic Role:
When all hope dies, she continues.
Blessing (Obvious):
Her rage is a weapon blessed by Fortema, goddess of war.
Some legends say she will one day punch a Demon Lord so hard their title transfers to her.
Extra:
Joe Mcdih
Name: Joe Mcdih
Race: Tortle
Pronouns: They/Them
Class: Sorcerer (Wild Magic)
Affiliation: Aeterni Viatores – The Six Beyond
Accent: Thick Chinese accent, melodic and calm — until they start laughing, then it’s chaos.
Backstory: “The Shell that Broke the Stars”
Long before their arrival in Agorath, Joe Mcdih lived a peaceful life on a warm coastal island, teaching sea snails to sing and convincing waves to dance. They were eccentric but harmless — or so everyone thought, until the day their magic awoke.
It happened during the Festival of the Thousand Lanterns. When Joe tried to light a single lantern with a flick of magic, every lantern in the village exploded into stars. The night sky shimmered for days. The villagers called it “a sign of blessing.” Joe just laughed nervously, still holding the burnt stick.
But the stars whispered. And one, faint and fading, called their name.
Joe began to dream of a world of black spires, fallen gods, and towers that screamed beneath the earth. When they awoke next, it wasn’t on their island — but in a burning summoning circle, surrounded by cultists.
When the Six Beyond stood, Joe was the last to rise — brushing soot off their shell, blinking at the chaos, and simply saying:
“Oh! New place, new problem. Okay, okay. Breathe, Joe. Don’t explode again.”
Their magic is unpredictable, but their heart is pure. They often joke that their power comes from “eating too much lightning as a baby,” but in truth, their soul is tied to cosmic energy — the same that once birthed the stars.
Now, among the Aeterni Viatores, Joe Mcdih is the unpredictable pulse of hope:
a chaotic, smiling Tortle who might blow up a demon or turn it into a bouquet — no one ever knows.
Personality:
Cheerful and disarmingly calm, even in disaster.
Often mutters in a mix of common and old island dialects.
Has a habit of naming spells (“Okay, this one called Boom Boom Sky Hug! Maybe!”).
When nervous, hums softly — the tune seems to calm magic itself.
Deep down, feels the weight of destiny but refuses to lose their humor.
Why They Were Summoned
Not by the gods.
Not by a cult.
Not by a wizard.
The world itself called them.
The Seals weaken.
The Towers thrum.
A Demon Lord gathers strength.
And so, in the Tenebrae Aetas, six unlikely heroes arrived with:
No training
No equipment
No destiny they asked for
Yet they are the only ones not bound by the fate that already doomed this world.
