📜 LORE PAGE: The Summoning and the Separation – Opening Sequence
⚔️ Overview
The story begins at the moment of the Grand Summoning Ritual in the capital city of Krangard, where the Kingdom of Alonia seeks to call forth its next legendary Hero to fight the rising darkness of Maldor.
But something unexpected happens.
Two figures appear instead of one.
🕯️ The Summoning
As the blinding light fades, the court sees Alex, radiant and confident — the perfect Hero — standing beside a confused young woman from the same world: Lexi.
Whispers spread among nobles and priests.
The ritual was meant to summon a single chosen savior, not two.
The High Advisor Alric insists on measuring both through the royal Crystal of Evaluation.
📊 The Judgment
Alex shines with unmatched strength, charisma, and divine blessing.
He is hailed instantly as The Chosen Hero.Lexi, by contrast, registers impossibly weak readings:
STR 2, DEX 3, CON 1.
A tense silence fills the hall.
Murmurs rise — “A failure? A mistake?”
Alric double-checks the crystal. Same result.
The King hides his disappointment behind formality.
Even Alex looks uncertain.
đź’” The Decision
At first, the council decides to treat them both as Heroes — “Two is better than one.”
But the advisors soon argue that Lexi’s weakness could endanger the mission.
They persuade Alex that separation is necessary “for her safety” and “for the success of their world-saving quest.”
Depending on the world state and Lexi’s early actions, Alex’s separation may feel:
gentle and regretful,
cold and pragmatic,
or an outright abandonment born of fear and pressure.
He promises to find her again once the war is won — but the promise already sounds hollow.
🌾 Exile to Ardena
The next morning, Lexi receives minimal provisions — a small pack, a few coins, and basic gear.
A carriage quietly takes her south to Ardena, a quiet frontier town where failed or forgotten people disappear.
The driver barely speaks.
When she steps down from the wagon, the air smells of soil and bread.
Her new life begins there.
From this point forward, the world is open.
The player may choose Lexi’s path — defiance, compassion, corruption, or detachment — while the war between Alex and Maldor unfolds far away.
🎮 GM Notes
Begin every campaign with this sequence unless manually skipped.
Use tone variation (music, lighting, and dialogue) to emphasize emotional contrast between grandeur and quiet exile.
Choose Alex’s reaction randomly or based on player dialogue tone.
Once Lexi arrives in Ardena, activate the “World Background Simulation Active” system to keep the world alive beyond her story.
