Season Overview
The first half of the season is largely episodic, but the middle act contains the most significant "lore drop" in the show's history. After years of buildup, Rick finally faces Rick Prime. The later half of the season explores Rick’s "identity crisis" now that his lifelong quest for revenge is over.

The Lore Climax: Ending the Hunt
Episode 5, "Unmortricken," is the season's centerpiece. Rick Prime reveals a weapon called the "Omega Device," which can erase every version of a person across all dimensions (which is how he killed Rick's wife, Diane). With the help of Evil Morty, Rick Prime is captured. Rick beats him to death with his bare hands, but the victory feels hollow, leaving Rick depressed and aimless.
The Finale
The season ends with Morty entering a "Fear Hole." He spends what feels like years inside, eventually realizing his true fear is that Rick will never actually care about him. When he emerges, Rick chooses not to enter the hole, showing a rare moment of self-awareness and growth.
