Elysium

☀️ Elysium: The Realm of the Gods and the Dawn Mother

Elysium stands as the highest of the known planes, the blessed domain of the divine, and the cosmological counterpoint to the corruption of The Void and the torment of Infernus. It is the plane of ultimate light, life, and celestial order.

Elysium: The Divine Realm

Elysium is envisioned and experienced as a plane of tranquil perfection. It is a realm characterized by eternal blue skies and serene vistas, dominated by majestic, floating tropical islands nestled securely amongst the clouds. Unlike the shifting chaos of the Fey Realm or the rigid, scorching hierarchy of Infernus, Elysium represents a place of stable, pure divinity. It is the source of celestial grace and the ultimate goal for the souls of the virtuous.

The Dawn Mother: Goddess of Light and Life

The central deity of Arcadia's human faith, and the unchallenged sovereign of Elysium, is the Dawn Mother. Her titles reflect her immense primordial power: Goddess of Life, Light, and Purification. Lore holds that she is the direct offspring of the first Sun and the veritable Mother of Creation itself, making her presence foundational to the moral order of the cosmos.

The Dawn Mother’s influence remains paramount in Arcadia, particularly within the reigning Lightblood dynasty and its zealous enforcers, the Inquisitors. Though she has maintained no direct, verifiable contact with the mortal realm since the catastrophic events of the Cataclysm, her divine presence is still tangibly manifest. Mortals can access her power through the zealous fervor of her Paladins and the healing, purificatory blessings channeled by her Clerics. The faith centered on the Dawn Mother provides the primary moral and philosophical anchor for human society, fueling the zealotry that drives the modern City-State and, tragically, once fueled the destructive Great Cleansing.
