Forest Lady
The @Forest Lady was once a fey guardian bound to Velciran Forest. She watched over its creatures and roots, keeping the balance between the wild and the mortal lands. She had a son — a young boy born of her love for a wandering mortal, a bridge between both worlds.
When the blight took hold of Velciran, the forest began to wither, and the sickness spread to nearby villages. Crops failed, livestock died, and fear drove the people to desperation. Believing the forest demanded a sacrifice, the villagers took her child in the night. They brought him to the heart of the woods and offered his blood to the roots, praying the rot would end.
It didn’t. The forest stayed black, and the Forest Lady’s grief turned to madness. She let the blight consume her, body and spirit alike, until she became part of the curse itself. Twisted and hollow, she began to take what was taken from her — luring travelers and children from their homes with her lullaby and offering them to the trees, the same way her son was offered to her.
