The Gods
The gods are said to dwell far beyond mortal reach, veiled in silence since the dawn of creation. They did not shape the world with their hands, nor guide its people with words, but simply watched as existence unfolded. To the dragons, they were the distant echo of order—neither masters nor kin, but an unseen balance that even they could not fully comprehend.
In ages past, mortals built temples to their names, seeking favor that never came. Prayers rose like smoke to empty skies, and in time, faith turned to doubt. The gods neither answered nor punished, and so they became as myths themselves—present only in the stillness between storms.
Yet some whisper that their gaze never truly left, only turned away, waiting for the world to remember its place in the silence they left behind.
