Everything in this section lies after the present moment. It is theoretical: a set of possible developments that follow if events track the original story. The DM may use any of these as plot hooks, alter them to suit the game, or discard them entirely. A player character's actions can change any of them.
Eren may be called back into the capital by the Military Police and the central authority because of his role in the 57th expedition's losses. Erwin and Armin may conclude that the Female Titan is a soldier among the 104th, with Armin suspecting Annie Leonhart. They may plan to lure Annie into the open by using Eren as bait in the capital district of Stohess. If the plan is carried out, Annie may transform into the Female Titan in Stohess, kill bystanders and soldiers, and try to capture Eren. Eren may transform into the Attack Titan and fight her. With Mikasa and the Survey Corps' help, he may overpower Annie, but she could harden her skin and crystallize herself inside a crystal that no blade can break. The Survey Corps may secure the crystal. Soon after, a section of Wall Sina may be found to contain a Titan sealed within the stone. These events would reveal that the Walls contain Titans and begin to crack open the accepted understanding of the world.
The exposure of Reiner and Bertolt as the Armored and Colossal Titans may occur during a fight at a castle outpost called Utgard in Wall Rose, shattering the Survey Corps' trust and triggering an attack on Wall Rose. The revelation that Ymir is a Jaw Titan and that Krista Lenz is actually Historia Reiss, a Reiss family member, may connect the cadets to the royal bloodline. A Beast Titan may appear and hurl chunks of Wall Rose, and the Titans within Wall Rose may be exposed. The Survey Corps may also face a coup in the capital, in which a corrupt faction around the throne arrests Erwin and Levi, while Kenny Ackerman, Levi's uncle and leader of an anti-personnel squad in the Military Police, hunts them. These events may lead to the discovery that the Reiss family are the true rulers and that the Founding Titan lies with Eren.
If the game follows the original story, Historia would be crowned queen of the Walls, Rod Reiss would drink Titan spinal fluid and become a huge Titan, and Eren would obtain hardening ability from a serum. The Survey Corps would then travel to Shiganshina to open the basement of Eren's home, using Eren's hardening Titan to seal the breach in Wall Maria. In the basement would be Grisha's books and photographs, which reveal the outside world, Marley, and the real nature of the Titans. In the battle that follows, the Survey Corps would face the Colossal and Armored Titans and the Beast Titan; Erwin would die leading a final charge, and Armin would be revived by a Titan serum and become the Colossal Titan's next holder.
After a time skip of about four years, the game world might shift to Marley, where the Eldian Warrior Unit, now including candidates such as Gabi Braun and Falco Grice, serve the Marleyan military. The Survey Corps might raid Liberio in Year 854, steal the War Hammer Titan (Eren eating Lara Tybur), and spark a world war. Eren, who by then could hold three Titans, might use the Founding Titan with Zeke's help to begin the Rumbling, which would unleash the Wall Titans on the world. In one outcome, a coalition of former enemies stops him, Eren is killed, and Ymir Fritz chooses to end the power of the Titans, so that the Nine Titans disappear and all Titan shifters revert to ordinary humans. These events are the original story's final arc and are given here only as one possible trajectory.
The Survey Corps' emblem is the Wings of Freedom. A Titan's weak point is the nape, a section about 1 meter long and 10 centimeters wide at the back of the neck. Pure Titans are mindless and eat humans on sight; Titan shifters are intelligent and live thirteen years from inheritance.
Key figures in the military at the present are Erwin Smith (Survey Corps Commander), Levi (Survey Corps Captain), Dot Pyxis (Garrison Commander), Nile Dawk (Military Police commander), and Keith Shadis (Cadet Corps head instructor).
