Attilos Ocean and it's Regions
Attilos Ocean
A large body of water with no land masses, choppy waves dance in the sun as fantastical sea creatures leap from it's surface into the air.
Attilos Ocean is the singular great ocean that envelopes all of the landmasses of this world. From dark Stormy seas to breezy warp tropics this ocean is the heart of all life on Attilos. Travelers must beware of the seas wrath during storms and the sea monsters that lurk within the depths, but they are called to see for the same reason in a sense of adventure and excitement.
Dumal Region
This Region of The Attilos Ocean is a tropical Archipelago that spans across the center of Attilos and connect all of the outside continents through sea faring and merchant trade routes. "The Republic of the Dumal Archipelago", "Captain Vorlag Kragg", and The different Merfolk Tribes across the Archipelago wage a war for dominance and control over The Dumal Archipelago here.
Ragiid Region
This Region of the Attilos Ocean is in the Territory of Sultan Kazem, the ruler of Shiammal. Kazem's tyranny holds the local coastline near Shiammal in Ragiid hostage where he controls the importation and exportation of the goods coming in and out of Ragiid. His naval forces are in constant feud with the local pirates and Merfolk of Dumal.
Naguul Region
This dark and tretchedous region of the Attilos Ocean is an almost impassable expanse of violent frigid waters and deadly aquatic sea life capable of sinking even the mightiest of Galleon Ships!
Sailors who are brave or foolish enough to attempt crossing these waters from Ragiid into Naguul more often then not meet their murky suffocating doom as the waves thrash holes into their ships and horrors unimaginable make themselves known to passing crews above.
The Vissara Pass
"The Vissara Pass" is a great sea that separates Vissara from Ahnekis. This does not stop droves of monster races such as Elves, Dwarves, Giants, Goblins, Ogres, Orcs, Tiefling, and more from making the journey across this great body of water in search of new futures for themselves outside of their homeland. The main obstacle is The Ice Wall that stretches across Ahnekis 's northern shore face. An unimaginable climb up into the icy mountains of Ahnekis is the challenge these migrants and nomads must face if they wish to enter into Ahnekis through this route, yet still, thousands of Vissarans who remain determined make the trip every year into the borders of Ahnekis.
Ahnekis: Port of the Crown
The Port of the Crown in Ahnekis is a fortress of human order. Its docks are built from massive blocks of white stone, with tall, fortified walls that rise seamlessly from the waterline. A constant line of uniformed guards patrol the piers, their polished armor glinting under the sun. The air is filled with the scent of salt and iron, and the blaring commands of captains and merchants. This port is a symbol of King Garrish's power, a secure and imposing gateway to a kingdom that trusts no one.
Vissara: The Spire of Unity
The Spire of Unity is less a single port and more a collection of bustling platforms and docks that have been built into the towering cliffs overlooking the sea. Dwarven stone platforms jut out alongside goblin-made scaffolding and docks woven from living Elven wood. It is a loud, vibrant place where the clamor of trade is mixed with the calls of sea creatures and the hum of wild magic. Goblins haggle, Dwarves unload ore, and Giants rest their feet in the deep waters below.
Ragiid: The Golden Gate of Shiammal
The Golden Gate of Shiammal is a port of gilded oppression. Its docks are made of polished sandstone, with a magnificent archway of hammered gold and copper that serves as the entry point. The searing desert heat radiates from every surface. Sultan Kazem's guards meticulously inspect every ship and crate that passes, and every merchant must pay a crippling tax. The air is thick with the scent of spices and sweat, and the whispered desperation of people being extorted for every drop of water and every grain of sand.
Dumal Archipelago: The Crossroads
The Crossroads is a sprawling, chaotic collection of floating platforms and anchored ships. The docks are a patchwork of materials, from salvaged galleon hulls to woven rafts. There is a lawless energy to the place, but also a fierce sense of community among the pirate crews and merchants who live here. The scent of rum, gunpowder, and fresh fish hangs in the air, and a thousand different flags snap in the tropical breeze as Merfolk tribesmen and human captains haggle over goods and territory.
Naguul: The Frozen Maw
The Frozen Maw is a harbor carved directly into a massive iceberg. Its docks are platforms of packed ice, and thick, jagged ice walls rise to protect the ships from the treacherous waters. The air here is frigid and silent, broken only by the groaning of the ice and the low hum of frigates battling the relentless waves. This is not a place for trade, but for survival. Sailors move with a grim purpose, their faces hidden by heavy furs as they prepare to face the deadly, monster-filled waters of the Naguul Region.
