Monitor's Scerry locales and characters
Monitor's Skerry
This island is the place where an island sized horned lizard came to die in its final rest. The skeletal remanes of the creature rest all along the island like a bony mountain range. At one end of the island the creatures enormous skull rests against a tall cliff partially overtaken by the earth.A sea port and pirate ships have been established on this island and greenery grows on top of the skull and the cliff that partially covers the skull. This island is a large pirate hideout built around and inside the skull of the deceaced giant lizard that rests here. A place where laws are outlawed and men's most wicked desires are carried out. Some of the most influential and powerful pirate captains conviene here to celebrate, sceme, drink, gamble, and plan their future bounties made from unsuspecting sailors of the sea.
Monitor Port
Monitor Port is a large islands of docks and small wooden buildings. It is the central point in which pirates of several different regions and under many captains come together to coexist as one. These pirates do this because they believe the giant lizard that died on this island was once a sea God. Feeling that this was a "living" representation of the might of the sea and the call that all pirates feel for adventure they come here in the masses to live, drink, gamble, celebrate, and plan their future voyages.
Captains Cave
This room is where the most dastardly and villainous pirate captains from around the Dumal Archipelagoo gather to conduct their secret business between the major pirate crews on the island and to plan how to deal with the ongoing threat from the Republic of Dumal actively trying to hinder their progress.
Captain Vorlag Kragg
Captain Vorlag Kragg is a towering figure, well over six feet, with a gaunt, almost skeletal frame that somehow conveys immense, unnatural strength. His skin is a sickly, ashen grey, stretched taut over prominent cheekbones and a sharp jawline. His eyes are twin pools of liquid, inky blackness that seem to absorb all light, with tiny, malevolent pinpricks of crimson that flicker deep within them like dying embers. He has no discernible pupils or irises. He wears a tattered but richly embroidered captain's coat, the fabric rotted in places but clinging to the remnants of expensive lace and dark silks. His boots are made of cured human leather, and a heavy, tarnished silver cutlass, encrusted with what appear to be dried bloodstains and fragments of bone, hangs at his hip. A gruesome necklace made of shriveled, mummified fingers hangs loosely around his neck. The air around him is perpetually cold, carrying the faint, metallic tang of blood and brine.
Born privileged in the Dumal Archipelago, Vorlag Kragg rejected soft nobility. His true malice emerged as a naval officer, massacring a town for sport and vanishing with its treasures. He reappeared as "The Keelhauler King," piloting The Black Heart, a dreadnought fueled by anguish. He systematically terrorizes the Archipelago, despising the Nine Governors as weak. His goal: to shatter civilization, plunging Dumal into primal chaos. Rumors claim pacts with abyssal entities, consuming victims' hearts for power. He seeks not control, but absolute, terrifying dominance over life and death, an entity of pure destruction.
