Nation: Éirennach

Land of Mist and Magic

Across the western sea lies Éirennach, a green and haunted isle where hills vanish into fog and rivers sing with power. Here, the veil between mortal and fae is thin — every grove is sacred, every stone may speak, and every shadow hides a spirit. The land itself hums with deep magic, older than Albion’s chivalry and older even than Avalon.

👑 The Tuatha and Their Righ

Éirennach is divided into tuatha, petty kingdoms ruled by mortal lords known as righ. Each righ commands his kin and warriors, bound by loyalty, feasting, and ancient oaths. Rivalries between tuatha are fierce, yet in times of need they gather beneath the high king — the Árd-Righ of Teamhair, whose throne is said to be blessed by the gods themselves.

  • The tuatha live in ringforts and hillforts, their halls resounding with song and story.

  • Raids and cattle wars are constant, yet so too are great feasts where rival lords may sit at the same table.

  • To the tuatha, kingship is not only power but sacred duty — to honor gods, land, and kin.

✨ The Sidhe

Dwelling beside and within the tuatha are the Sidhe, fae nobles of great beauty and power. Tall, silver-eyed, and eternal, they walk as lords and ladies of both court and wild. To the Sidhe, Éirennach is not just home — it is theirs, and mortals are tenants upon their soil.

  • Some Sidhe rule openly as kings or queens beside mortal allies.

  • Others dwell in hidden sídhe-mounds, emerging to bargain, bless, or curse.

  • Their courts are both wondrous and perilous, weaving mortal politics with fae designs.

🏔️ The Sacred Landscape

Éirennach is a land where myth walks:

  • Mist-veiled hills hide doorways to the Otherworld.

  • Sacred groves echo with druidic rites and Sidhe voices.

  • Towering mountains hold both giants and gods.

  • The Hill of Teamhair (Tara), seat of the Árd-Righ, is the island’s heart — said to be a place where the veil is thinnest, and kingship binds land, gods, and people alike.

⚖️ A Tapestry of Power

  • To Albion, Éirennach is both a threat and a mystery, its raiders and druids feared and respected.

  • To the Sidhe, Albion is a neighbor to toy with, an ally or foe as whim dictates.

  • To the tuatha, survival means balancing kin, cattle, and the shifting favor of gods and fae.

Éirennach is a land where every oath matters, every hill is sacred, and every guest may be a god in disguise.
