Nation: Wyrdmark

⚔️ The Saxon Frontier

Across the sea from Albion lies Wyrdmark, a land where wyrd — fate, doom, and destiny — weaves through every tree and stone. Its forests are deep and haunted, its grasslands wide and perilous, its mountains crowned with snow and mystery. Here, Saxon clans fight, feast, and follow the omens of gods and spirits.

Wyrdmark is not one kingdom, but a tapestry of clans and holds, bound by warbands, mead-halls, and the sway of powerful warlords. Though they feud constantly, all clans recognize the High Warlord who carries the Raven Banner, a symbol said to guarantee victory in battle — or doom in defeat.

🏹 The Clans of Wyrdmark

🏰 Dornholt

  • The stronghold and heart of Wyrdmark.

  • Ruled by Eorl Cynwulf the Blackhand, High Warlord of Wyrdmark. His cruelty is matched only by his tactical brilliance.

  • Bears the Raven Banner, said to be woven by the Norns themselves.

🌲 Grimhyrst

  • A shadowed woodland clan steeped in omens and ritual.

  • Ruled by Thane Eadwald One-Eye, who gave his eye to commune with the spirits of the dead.

  • The village is a place of ghost-fires, carved runestones, and whispered prophecies.

🩸 Redholt

  • A fierce warrior clan claiming descent from the Wyrm-Kings of legend.

  • Ruled by Wulfgard Bloodspear, whose ferocity makes him a rival of Dornholt.

  • Known for berserker warbands and dragon-emblazoned shields.

⚰️ Noxmere

  • A marshland domain haunted by fog and whispers.

  • Ruled by Lady Cynetha of the Drowned Smile, a pale, veiled woman said to speak with the dead drowned in the Mere.

  • In rivalry with Dunwulf Hollow for dominion over the deep woods.

🌲 Dunwulf Hollow

  • Hidden deep in the Wyrdclyf forest, warded by totems and charms.

  • Ruled by Warlord Aelga the Hollow-Eyed, a seer and chieftainess.

  • Its warriors are fierce foresters, striking from ambush under the cover of old magic.

🌊 Skarnford

  • A marshland settlement along the River Mere.

  • Known for raiders and eel-scouts who glide through mist and mud like spirits.

  • Ruled by Aethelfrith Eelborn, a warlock-warlord with a forked beard and mastery of water-witchery.

⛰️ Stoneharrow

  • A rugged settlement on the mountain’s edge.

  • Rich in iron, stone, and hunting grounds.

  • Ruled by Warlord Jorric Thun-Blood, a grim, battle-scarred leader whose people forge the strongest Saxon steel.

🌌 A Land of Fate

Wyrdmark is more than a land of raiders — it is a place where spirits walk, omens matter, and destiny is carved in blood and stone.

  • The people believe fate cannot be avoided, only embraced.

  • Sacrifices to the old gods and spirits are common.

  • Heroes rise in fire and mead-hall song, but always with the shadow of doom behind them.

To outsiders, Wyrdmark is a land of barbarism and savagery. To its people, it is a land of honor, wyrd, and unyielding will.
