Scattered throughout Avelora are unusual places shaped by ancient construction, powerful magic and mysteries that have never been fully explained. Some are well known among scholars and adventurers, while others are little more than stories shared by travelers.
@Avelora Shard Spire – Once a mage’s tower, the Spire was destroyed by a magical explosion that somehow froze in time. Its shattered rooms, staircases, furniture and stone fragments remain suspended around the broken tower, allowing daring explorers to climb and leap between pieces of the frozen destruction.
@Avelora Cloudglass Cavern – Hidden within the mountains, this cavern is filled with translucent crystals that scatter sunlight into brilliant colors. Some larger crystals contain moving images of unfamiliar people, places and events, though no one knows whether they show memories, distant events or something else entirely.
@Avelora Hanging Garden – An enormous ruined garden built across terraces carved into a near-vertical mountainside. Its builders have long been forgotten, yet parts of its ancient irrigation system still carry water through fountains, pools and channels, allowing the abandoned gardens to remain strangely lush.
@Avelora Sleeping Colossus – An enormous humanoid stone figure lies partially buried within a secluded green valley, with trees and vegetation growing across its body. No one knows who created it, how old it is, or whether it was ever a statue at all. Excavations have revealed that much more of the figure remains buried beneath the valley.
