The threat of Ssendis’s heresy has achieved the impossible: it has united the naturally fractious and suspicious Yuan-ti city-states. Fearing that Ssendis will eventually drain the Great Serpent’s essence so completely that the god will never wake—or worse, that Ssendis will become a god of pure ego—they have formed The Scaled Confederation.
The Confederation is a reluctant and tense alliance. Its members still harbor ancient grudges and compete for resources, but they have agreed to a temporary pact of non-aggression to focus on a singular goal: the containment and eventual eradication of Ssendis.
