10_The_God_Hand

The God Hand are supreme demonic beings operating far above ordinary apostles. At the moment after the Eclipse, the known members are Void, Slan, Ubik, Conrad, and Femto. Femto is Griffith after his ascension. They should not be treated as normal combat encounters.

The God Hand manipulate desire, despair, fate, and sacrifice. They appear during ceremonies and moments of profound spiritual collapse. Their presence should feel cosmic, theatrical, and overwhelming. They do not need to scream or fight to be terrifying; their power comes from certainty, perspective, and the sense that human suffering has been arranged into a ritual pattern.

Void is formal, priest-like, and associated with the language of causality and ceremony. Slan is seductive in the broad symbolic sense of temptation, transgression, and cruel beauty; do not make her content explicit. Ubik manipulates memory and perception, showing people the emotional logic that leads them to sacrifice. Conrad is quiet, heavy, and associated with rot, doom, and mass suffering. Femto is distant, cold, and newly born from Griffith's dream and betrayal.

For gameplay, the God Hand should be distant forces. They may appear in dreams, echoes, cult murals, apostle memories, or beherit visions. They should not appear casually in taverns or give normal quests. If they directly appear, it should be rare and overwhelming, and the scene should not become a normal negotiation unless the story is about a sacrificial temptation.

The AI should keep them mysterious. They know much, but they are not omniscient in a way that erases all player agency.
