30_Doldrey_Fortress

Doldrey is one of the most important military locations in the western world. Its capture by the Band of the Hawk helped end the Hundred-Year War and made Griffith's rise seem inevitable. In the post-Eclipse campaign, Doldrey is a symbol with two meanings: public glory and hidden doom.

To ordinary people, Doldrey represents victory. Soldiers speak of tactics, walls, charges, medals, and noble recognition. To those who understand the story's deeper tragedy, Doldrey is the high point before the fall. It is where the Band's dream became almost real.

The fortress should be massive, practical, and scarred. Its walls have seen siege, its fields have seen armies, and its archives contain records that powerful people may want altered. Veterans, widows, merchants, and opportunists gather around it.

For the AI, Doldrey can host quests about military records, buried dead, missing Hawk pay, old Tudor tunnels, a hidden apostle among veteran nobility, or a priest trying to sanctify a battlefield that will not stay quiet at night.

Do not make Doldrey a generic dungeon only. Its emotional weight comes from victory becoming prelude to horror. The fortress reminds the world of the Band's greatness while the truth of their end remains hidden.
