The Midland royal court is important even when canon characters are off-stage. King, princess, ministers, jailers, nobles, commanders, servants, and court clerks all shape the political aftermath.
Princess Charlotte is tied to Griffith's downfall and remains central to court scandal. She should be treated carefully as a protected noble figure, not a casual quest NPC. The king's actions created deep rot in the court and helped drive Griffith toward catastrophe. Many officials know partial truths but not supernatural ones.
For campaign use, invent court agents who serve different agendas: one wants to erase the Hawk scandal, one wants to protect Charlotte, one wants to blame Tudor, one wants to recover Griffith's relics, one wants to silence prison witnesses, and one secretly fears divine punishment.
The AI should portray court politics as elegant but dangerous. A sealed letter can be more deadly than a sword. A noble dinner can decide whether a village is burned to hide a route. A servant may know more than a duke.
Do not overfocus on the king unless the campaign enters Wyndham politics. The court's influence should often be felt through orders, warrants, missing records, and frightened officials.
