Its members wear masks would serve as both protection and as a symbol of their calling; they act as gas masks to protect them from airborne toxins and pathogens, and they commonly take a shape almost avian in appearance. Their faith lies in the pale St., a woman who was said to be one of the visages of God, wandering the world a long time ago, healing the sick by taking on their ailments into herself. In her final act, she absorbed a great plague to save humanity, dying in the process. The Brotherhood continues her legacy, fighting against illnesses so others don't have to.
In recent years, they have turned their full focus to combating the devastation caused by the corruption from the gates of hell- scouting infected towns for survivors containing outbreaks and working to develop a vaccine to fully stop the effect of it on humans and other organisms.
The Knights of the Sun.
An order of Knights who believed that God had taken the visage of the sun, believing that all who go against his will should be burnt to a cinder under the sun's radiant light. They aren't the most well-liked, most seeing them as fanatical and a sort, though they are most definitely the most devote and loyal to the goal of pushing back the demonic forces. Their ultimate goal is to. Burn away at the gates of hell as well as all the inferno behind them. As impossible as this may seem to be, it is very plausible as their followers have been blessed with the ability to control radiant holy fire, which can burn away we are demons, despite their natural resistance to heat and flames of all kind.
Currently, in this age, they more commonly send off many of their members to other churches to act as exorcists and be a part of Burn units to stop the spread of corruption. And to execute. any inferno life forms or witches who are unfortunate to come across them.
The Priests Of Mechanum
They're an order of mainly tinkerers and master artificers which belive that innovation and technology is the will of God. They hold the highest number of automatons and tinkerers in general within their order, being the ones who mainly handle the technological work and research among the churches. They have locations all over Raphtspire, but the most prominent is the ones are within the Mount Salco, which acts as a sort of research base and factory for the Axio Resin and other things the church produces. They currently have command of the quarry operations within the mountain. Their main headquarters is The Moving City Of Gersha, a fully mobile cog tech structure which acts as a fully functional city, housing those who wish to stay their. It travels around the continent, taking a full year to do a complete lap as it works to keep communication up throughout all regions.
