@Fable Lake is no natural body of water. It is the scar left upon Bondire when the city of Landbourne rose into the sky, tearing itself free of the earth to become @Flewbourne. In the aftermath of that impossible event, rivers and rains rushed to fill the yawning cavity, creating an immense, shimmering lake where once a city stood. Its waters glimmer with shifting hues of blue, green, and pink, a beauty both mesmerizing and unsettling. To gaze upon it is to see the wound of a kingdom made permanent — a reminder of defiance, of magic unbound, and of what was lost when the Sky City took flight.
The lake is vast and jagged-edged, its shoreline marked by broken stone and steep cliffs that reveal where the land sheared away. Some places slope gently into the waters, but others drop sharply, as if the world itself had been torn like parchment. The water runs deep and strangely clear, shimmering with colors that shift like oil upon its surface.
At dawn and dusk, the waters seem almost alive, light dancing in patterns that defy the wind. On moonlit nights, the depths glow faintly with motes of silver and pink, as though the magic that carried @Flewbourne aloft still lingers, bleeding into the water.
@Shardgrass – Thin, silvery-green grass that grows along the jagged shorelines, its blades sharp as glass. It thrives in fractured soil where other plants fail, and locals weave it into rope or mats despite the care needed to harvest it.
@Emberfrond – Aquatic ferns with fronds that shimmer like live embers beneath the water’s surface. They cluster near the cliffs where the magic of Flewbourne’s ascension is strongest, glowing faintly at night as if recalling the fire that tore the land apart.
@Crownpetal Lotus – A luminous lotus that blooms rarely in the center of the lake. Its petals are silver-white, and when fully opened, they emit a faint, rising hum said to echo the very sound of Landbourne’s ascension. The flower is sacred to many, feared by others, and prized by alchemists for its rumored power to reveal glimpses of forgotten memory.
