Landbourne Flats

Landbourne Flats

Overview

The @Landbourne Flats are a vast savannah of golden grasses and scattered acacia trees, stretching endlessly beneath the open sky. Life here is harsh but abundant — great herds migrate across the plains, predators stalk through the tall grass, and small streams wind their way through the heat-hazed landscape. Overhead, the floating city of @Flewbourne drifts among the clouds, its shadow falling across the land like a reminder of old defiance. From time to time, pieces of the sky-city tumble down — broken mechanisms, lost crates, or discarded relics.

Geography & Setting

The Flats shimmer in the sunlight, their tall grasses rolling like waves of gold and bronze. Acacia trees dot the landscape, their broad crowns offering the only shade for miles. Wildflowers bloom in seasonal bursts, brilliant splashes of scarlet and violet against the endless savannah. Streams and pools break the dryness of the plains, lifelines that sustain both herd and hunter.

The land is rarely still. Herds thunder across the flats, their migrations followed by predators that slip through the grass with patient silence. Days belong to the sun, when heat presses down and the plains seem to hold their breath; nights belong to the moon, when the land hums with unseen life. Above it all, @Flewbourne hangs, sometimes hidden in clouds and mist, sometimes blazing bright in the sun.

Beneath @Flewbourne’s drifting path in the @Landbourne Flats, lies Scrapall, a ramshackle settlement pieced together from whatever falls from the sky. Its homes are built of bent metal beams, discarded wood, shattered glass, and strange mechanical fragments scavenged from @Flewbourne’s cast-offs. What might be considered waste in the sky becomes resource and livelihood on the ground.

@Landbourne Flats also surrounds @Fable Lake in the South West of the area.
