@The Scarred Expanse is a vast and desolate wasteland where the earth bears the marks of a cataclysm no one remembers. Three colossal craters dominate the landscape, titanic wounds carved deep into the crust of Bondire, each with its own strange nature and peril. The land between them is cracked, scorched, and eerily quiet, as if the world itself still recoils from whatever force created them.
No birds circle above the craters. No towns rise near their edges. The few who have journeyed here speak of distant echoes, flickering lights, and a sense of being watched by the land itself. To most of Bondire, the Scarred Expanse is not a destination, but a boundary, the edge of what should be known.
The Expanse stretches across a barren plateau of fractured stone and dust. The air is thin and dry, the wind carrying a palpable unease. Little grows here, and the light seems harsher, the sun pale and sharp, the moon casting long, warped shadows across the scars.
@Central Crater - yawns deeper than sight, its inner cliffs twisting down into shadow. The walls are blackened and glassy, fused as though by unimaginable heat, and strange vibrations hum faintly in the rock. Some say it descends all the way to the world’s molten heart. Others claim something moves at its bottom, too far to see, but large enough to make the earth tremble.
@North-Eastern Crater - is the most striking: its hollow glows faintly at night, filled with clusters of luminescent flora that paint the interior in hues of violet, green, and gold. These glowing plants sway even when there is no wind, and some emit faint melodic tones when touched. Despite its beauty, travelers report a strange unease there, as though the vegetation itself is aware.
@Western Crater - lies hidden beneath a constant swirl of mist. The vapor clings to the ground and thickens with every step inward, swallowing sight and sound alike. Compass needles spin uselessly here, and even shouting carries no echo. Those who enter rarely find the same path out, some never return at all.
In the east of @The Scarred Expanse lies a deep ravine, home to the town of @Tuckerton. The only settlement in the area and a safe-haven for travelers trying to escape the perilous environment.
@Ashvine – A pale, powdery vine that creeps along rock fissures, feeding on trace minerals. It crumbles to dust when dried, leaving faint gray residue that stains skin and stone.
@Luminis Bloom – Found only in the @North-Eastern Crater, these bioluminescent flowers glow with ethereal colors, their light shifting like liquid. Alchemists seek them for their use in creating gentle, self-sustaining illumination.
@Mistroot – A pale, translucent plant that thrives within the fog of the @Western Crater . Its roots absorb moisture from the mist itself, and when ground into powder, it can create a vapor that numbs pain.
@Obsidian Petal – A rare, jet-black flower said to grow only along the inner rim of the @Central Crater. Its petals shimmer faintly in starlight and are harder than glass. When burned, they release a violet flame that gives no heat but reveals hidden shapes in darkness.
