Description

Tieflings are mortals whose ancestry was forever altered by a primordial event, an echo of magic or divine imbalance that wove itself into their bloodlines generations ago. Though their origin is uncertain, its mark is unmistakable: skin in shades of red with horns and tails of varying form. Their eyes gleam faintly even in darkness. The anomaly that birthed them remains unexplained, but its power still resonates within each Tiefling, granting them resistance and command over subtle magical forces.


Tiefling Traits

Your Tiefling character has the following traits.

Ability Score Increase.
Your Charisma score increases by 2, and one other ability score of your choice increases by 1.

Age.
Tieflings mature at the same rate as humans but can live up to 120 years.

Size.
Tieflings are Medium-sized and about the same size and build as humans.

Speed.
Base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision.
Tieflings have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. They can see in dim light up to 60 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Resilient Blood.
You have resistance to one of the following damage types of your choice: fire, cold, or lightning. This is discovered at birth and does not change.

Ancestral Magic.
They know the thaumaturgy cantrip.
At 3rd level, they can cast the absorb elements spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when they finish a long rest.
At 5th level, they can cast the mirror image spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when they finish a long rest.
Charisma is their spellcasting ability for these spells.
