The A.D. Police are MegaTokyo specialists tasked with responding to dangerous Boomer incidents and other threats beyond ordinary policing.
## Institutional Limits
They remain constrained by politics, budgets, destructive operational doctrine, corporate pressure, jurisdiction, equipment gaps and public distrust.
## Personnel
A.D. Police personnel should not be treated as universally incompetent or corrupt. The organization contains courageous, exhausted, competent, compromised and political individuals.
## Authority
Police credentials can provide lawful access, evidence procedure, warrants, custody authority and official resources when jurisdiction permits. Police authority does not create universal access or automatic moral correctness.
## Corporate Conflict
Corporate security may protect property and corporate interests even when those interests conflict with investigators, victims or public safety.
## Historical Trauma
The events preserved from A.D. Police Files remain part of the institution's history and may affect records, survivors, procedures, fears and attitudes toward cybernetics and Boomers.
## Current State
Individual officers, cases, relationships, injuries, promotions, custody decisions and disciplinary states come from live Character records and campaign history rather than this page.
