Bubblegum Crash — Illegal Army

## Historical Core

In the first Bubblegum Crash story, the Illegal Army resurfaces and conducts military raids to steal the component parts of a new artificial intelligence developed by Zone Corporation.

## Colonel Lando

Colonel Lando commands the Illegal Army operation. Neon Requiem treats him as the same surviving commander represented by the live Colonel Lando records.

## Illegal Army

The Illegal Army is an organized military or mercenary force using powered armour, aircraft and disciplined tactical operations rather than a street gang.

## Zone Corporation

Zone Corporation possesses the new AI technology targeted by the Illegal Army. Zone Corporation is separate from GENOM.

## AI Components

The new AI is divided into multiple stolen components during the Illegal Army operation. In Neon Requiem these are tracked as Components A, B, C and D.

## Concealed Patron

The Illegal Army is stealing the technology for a hidden outside patron. The patron's identity is not automatically player knowledge.

## Neon Requiem Integration

Quest 38 Four Things Worth More Than Gold adapts the first stage of the Illegal Army crisis. Quest 39 The Army That Died Last Year continues the surviving logistics and concealed-client investigation.

## Campaign Divergence

Colonel Lando, the Illegal Army, Components A-D, surviving forces, evidence, custody and knowledge of the concealed patron must follow the actual Neon Requiem campaign state rather than the original story's fixed outcome.
