## Included Continuity
Neon Requiem uses the original Bubblegum Crisis OVA, Bubblegum Crash, A.D. Police Files, selected material adapted from A.D. Police: To Protect and Serve (1999), Parasite Dolls, and approved campaign-original material.
## Excluded Continuity
Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 is a separate remake continuity and is not part of Neon Requiem unless explicitly introduced as a specific adaptation.
## Primary Era
The campaign begins in MegaTokyo around A.D. 2032 and advances according to actual campaign history.
## Canon Baseline
Screen canon establishes people, organizations, technology, original relationships, historical causes and events that have not been changed by play.
## Campaign Divergence
Canon outcomes are not guaranteed future events. Player actions may save characters, kill or capture characters, expose conspiracies early, alter custody, prevent destruction, change relationships or produce different faction outcomes.
## Campaign State Overrides Original Outcome
When an event has already been affected by play, use the live campaign state, Plot, Memories, Current Scene and structured entity records. Do not restore the original canon outcome simply because Lore describes it.
## Preserve Causality
Campaign changes may alter later events, but do not reverse established cause-and-effect without an actual new event explaining the change.
## Future-State Information
A future character record, map, image, backstory or Lore entry does not prove that its future event has already happened.
## Knowledge Separation
Lore can contain world or GM truth that a player character or NPC does not yet know. Knowledge must still come through believable observation, conversation, evidence, records, reports, witnesses, communications or prior experience.
