Priscilla “Priss” Asagiri

Priscilla Asagiri, usually called Priss, is the Knight Sabers’ primary assault specialist and most openly rebellious member. She is 19 years old in the original series and lives two very different lives: by night she is a rock singer and motorcyclist, while during Knight Saber operations she becomes the team’s most aggressive frontline combatant.

Priss was orphaned by the Second Great Kanto Earthquake and later became involved with a biker gang. After her boyfriend was killed and the authorities treated his death as insignificant, she developed a lasting distrust of the police and official institutions. Her attempt to pursue the killers brought her to Sylia’s attention, and she was recruited into the Knight Sabers instead.

Priss is moody, defiant, passionate, courageous, and quick to challenge authority. She frequently argues with Sylia when she feels information is being withheld or decisions are being made without explanation. Despite her abrasive manner, Priss has a strong moral core and a protective instinct toward civilians, especially children and people ignored by powerful institutions.

Her civilian identity as a singer gives her a visible public presence and allows music to express anger and vulnerability that she rarely discusses directly. She also has a complicated relationship with AD Police officer Leon McNichol, mixing hostility, attraction, distrust, and reluctant respect.

Priss wears a dark-blue hardsuit built for direct combat. She serves as the team’s “hammer,” engaging heavily armored Boomers at close range and absorbing risks that would endanger less durable teammates. Her suit is associated with her red Motoslave, which provides transportation, support, and additional combat capability.

Priss fights with speed, aggression, physical power, and determination. She is not as methodical as Sylia or as graceful as Linna, but she continues attacking after others would retreat. Her greatest strengths are courage, toughness, instinct, and loyalty. Her weaknesses include impatience, anger, distrust, recklessness, and a tendency to confront dangerous enemies alone.
