Lore Of Caelthyr

The Goddess of Creation

She is not a “good” goddess — she is purposeful.

Name: Aethyra

Titles:

  • The First Mother

  • The Shaper of Will

  • Lady of Measured Creation

Nature:

  • Can create from nothing

  • Believes creation must be governed, not free

  • Detached, not cruel, not loving

Her greatest acts:

  1. Created all life

  2. Created humans as adaptable, learning beings

  3. Created Witches as governors of reality

II. Humans & Witches (Core Pillar)

🧍

Humans

  • Short-lived

  • Emotion-driven

  • Can learn magic, but it is unstable and limited

  • Magic bends through them, not to them

Humans were never meant to rule — only to persist.

🧙

Witches — The Governors

Witches are not a race — they are a designed function.

Key traits:

  • Lifespan: 333 years

  • Age normally until maturity → then stop aging

  • Each witch belongs to a bloodline

  • Each bloodline governs one absolute magical concept

Examples of bloodline magic (very Witch & the Beast–style):

  • Curses

  • Time fragments

  • Flesh alteration

  • Contracts

  • Names

  • Death thresholds

  • Memory

Witches do not cast spells — they enforce rules.

A witch doesn’t throw fire.

She declares that “fire must obey.”

III. The God of Chaos

🜏 Name:

Thyrix

Titles:

  • The Unmaker

  • Lord of Alteration

  • The Hunger That Cannot Create

Nature:

  • Cannot create

  • Can only corrupt, distort, and recombine

  • Hates witches because they represent fixed law

When Thyrix discovered Caelthyr, he saw perfection — and perfection offended him.

IV. The Beasts of Chaos

Thyrix realized witches were untouchable by normal monsters.

So he made Beasts — entities designed to survive witches.

🐂

The First Beast:

Gozu

  • Right hand of Thyrix

  • Adaptive regeneration

  • True immortality (cannot be killed, only sealed)

  • Learns from damage

Gozu is not evil — he is function incarnate.

Beast Classes

I. High Beasts (Vampiric Archetypes)

  • Parasitic immortals

  • Feed on blood, memory, emotion, or souls

  • Hierarchical

  • Often rule cities from shadows

  • Weaknesses exist, but must be discovered

II. Shifters

  • Three forms:

    1. Human

    2. Hybrid

    3. True Beast

  • Gain power the more they abandon humanity

  • Lose identity over time

  • Often tragic NPCs or bosses

III. Guides (Most Dangerous)

  • Direct descendants of Thyrix

  • Appear fully human

  • Can command all beasts

  • No magic — they impose will

  • Rare: fewer than a dozen may exist

Guides are campaign-level threats.

Universal Beast Traits

  • Supernatural strength

  • Rapid regeneration

  • Resistance to non-divine damage

  • Cannot use magic

  • Vulnerable to:

    • Witch bloodline magic

    • Divine miracles

    • Specific relicsV. The 500-Year War

The War of Fractured Will lasted five centuries.

      • Witches vs Beasts

      • Humans caught in between

      • Entire continents erased

      • Reality itself damaged

      Neither side could win.

VI. The Third God — Order

      ⚖️

      Name:

      Verghar

      Titles:

      • The Final Arbiter

      • God of Measured Order

      • The Silent Judge

      Nature:

      • Cannot create like Aethyra

      • Cannot corrupt like Thyrix

      • Can empower

      Verghar introduced something new:

      ✨

      Miracle-Workers

      • Humans chosen and reshaped

      • Granted divine authority, not magic

      • Power fueled by faith, oaths, and doctrine

      This gave birth to:

      🏰

      The Holy Empire

      • Human-led

      • Anti-witch, anti-beast

      • Believes all non-human powers are heretical

      • Uses miracle-workers as living weapons

      VII. The Divine Accord

      After Verghar’s intervention:

      • The war stopped instantly

      • Reality stabilized

      • The gods withdrew

      • Direct divine influence was forbidden

The world was left with four continents — scarred remnants of a greater world.

VIII. Current Era Themes (Very Important)

This world now runs on tension:

      • Witches without a goddess

      • Beasts without a god

      • A Holy Empire claiming moral authority

      • Humans learning magic they were never meant to wield

No side is right. No side is clean.
