Empire of Cetus

@The Empire of Cetus The Empire of Cetus

"Honor the Deep, Protect the Realm."

The Empire of Cetus is a wealthy, coastal superpower known for its vast naval supremacy, sprawling green landscapes, and deep-seated military traditions. Positioned as a major barrier against Antarean expansionism and sharing a fiercely contested border with Corvus, Cetus is an empire defined by its duty to hold the line. They are a deeply patriotic people who view themselves as defenders of order and civilization on the continent. Faction Aesthetics & Vibe

Visuals: Traditional olive-green and khaki uniforms, distinct wide-brimmed Brodie helmets, and polished leather gear. Their officers exude an air of aristocratic poise, while their naval forces boast clean, grand warships that are masterpieces of early 20th-century engineering. Atmosphere: Coastal sea breezes mixing with coal smoke, grand classical architecture in bustling capital cities, and neatly organized, disciplined defense lines stretching across sprawling valleys. It carries a vibe reminiscent of the early British Empire or a proud, pre-war European state. Culture & Society

Cetan society leans heavily on history, lineage, and a profound reverence for the sea (represented by their namesake, the sea monster Cetus). The Aristocratic Elite: Unlike the strict meritocracy of Antares, Cetus possesses a highly influential nobility and upper class. Many high-ranking military positions are held by aristocratic families, leading to a strong sense of old-world chivalry—though sometimes breeding dangerous arrogance. A Culture of Defiance: Because they occupy fertile, wealthy lands coveted by their neighbors, Cetans are intensely patriotic. To a Cetan, their empire is a beacon of culture and stability; giving up an inch of it to a Corvun "barbarian" or an Antarean tyrant is worse than death.
