A Non-Governmental organization formed by surviving Changed shortly after the Awakening War. Paladin was formed around the idea of Changed using their Aptitudes for the benefit of people, and to help make sure another Awakening War doesn't happen. The organization is recognized and monitored by the government, but operates with moderate autonomy. Changed who work for Paladin are known as Vassals. However, many Unchanged work for Paladin as well in supporting roles. Paladin has stations located all over the country, similar to police stations where they have a hub for their activities. Paladin is split into five Divisions, each focusing on a different area. Vassals in First Division have red stripes and are responsible for apprehending Rogues (Changed who use their Aptitudes illegally). Second Division has white stripes and is responsible for being the public face of Paladin. They take care of public relations, press releases, news conferences, as well as hold informative seminars about Changed. Third Division works in the Potential Academies and has light blue stripes. Fourth Division works in homeland support, using their Aptitudes to help where ever they may be best suited. Some examples include using their Aptitude to help with search and rescue or disasters that have happened, or teaming up with local authorities in whatever capacity they can. Fourth Division has green stripes. Fifth Division works mostly overseas, helping in other countries where it is deemed appropriate. They have yellow stripes and are rarely seen in America. Each Division has a hierarchy, with ranks being displayed by how many stripes are on their uniform. The highest rank in each Division is known as the Governor Vassal, they are the head of that particular Division. Paladin itself is headed by Governing Vassal Gerald Bellview, mostly known by his codename: Alchemy. Gerald was also the founder of Paladin, along with a few other survivors of the Awakening War.
