Bearers of the Broken Blade
Once a noble order tasked with protecting and balancing the fragments of the legendary Broken Blade, they were believed extinct for centuries after internal betrayal. Their symbol is a shattered sword dripping blood. Elias Veyra is now actively reviving the order under his own vision, seeking to gather all fragments and claim ultimate power. The order’s true original purpose remains mysterious — some say they were guardians against the return of the Primordial Ones, others claim they were enforcers of Vael’s will.
Runic Hunters
An ancient secretive order dedicated to mastering, containing, and hunting dangerous rune magic and Veil-touched artifacts. Nearly wiped out by betrayal (in which Elias Veyra is rumored to have played a part). Kael is currently the last confirmed survivor. They tattoo or carve runes into their own flesh to channel power, paying a heavy toll in sanity and lifespan. Their knowledge of primordial secrets makes them both invaluable allies and dangerous targets.
The Forgotten Choir
A mysterious cabal of Veil-Touched and mad prophets who deliberately expose themselves to the Veil to hear the “true song” of the dying Primordials. They operate in hidden cells across all kingdoms, collecting forbidden knowledge and performing rituals to widen Veil rifts. Many believe they actively work toward the final awakening of Vael’s heart.
