Cult of the Beating Heart
Worshippers of the buried heart of the Primordial Vael. They believe the world is slowly being remade in Vael’s image and that the Long Dusk is a holy transition. Strongest in the Ash Wastes and among some Ashborn tribes, they perform heart-extraction sacrifices and seek to accelerate the corruption of the land. Their high priests often bear glowing veins beneath their skin.
The Serpent Eternal
The ancient faith of the Lizardfolk and remnants of the Sunken Empire. They venerate long-forgotten serpent gods said to slumber beneath the waves. Blood rituals, live offerings to abyssal entities, and the quest to raise the Sunken Empire once more define this dangerous cult. Some cells have begun operating openly in Frostheim’s docks through Deepkin intermediaries.
The Seraphic Host
The dominant celestial religion of Fajula. Seraphim and their rare mortal followers believe the winged ones are the true inheritors of the Primordials’ divine spark. They preach purity, hierarchy, and the eventual judgment of all ground-dwellers. Their inquisitors occasionally descend to “purify” heretical bloodlines.
Old Gods of the Wild
Loose pagan faith still practiced by Beastmen, rural humans, and some northern Skarnheim clans. Involves bloody offerings to primal beast and forest spirits. The corruption of Vintermort Forest has caused a dark resurgence of this faith, with some worshippers embracing the new monstrous changes as divine evolution.
