The Sable Court is the ruling body and most powerful faction within Eldoria. Once known as the radiant high nobility of the elven kingdom, they have become a decadent, insular, and increasingly ruthless oligarchy. They dwell in the upper canopies of Sylvandar, in palaces of living wood and silver, far above the corrupted forest floor.
While they publicly claim to protect elven culture and the sanctity of the forest, the Court has slowly accepted the corruption of Eldoria. Many of its members now deliberately cultivate dark thorns and parasitic blooms within their own bodies as symbols of status and power. They are masters of subtle intrigue, ancient Veil-weaving, and moral compromise — willing to sacrifice entire bloodlines to keep the forest (and their power) alive.
Goals:
Maintain elven supremacy and isolation in Eldoria.
Control the spread and “harvesting” of the forest’s corruption for their benefit.
Suppress any external influence (especially from humans and dwarves).
Leader:
High Matriarch Velithra Sylvaine, an ancient elf whose body is half-transformed into living night-blooming flowers and black crystal thorns.
