Now pirates are tyrannical, bought off by the Vector, and used to control, and influence the population in favor of the Vector. Six of the strongest pirates have been bribed into the military regime called the Black Band. They're bribed to help control pirates and rebels granting the Black Band amnesty of all crimes. Then there's certain groups of pirates called the Vielbound that hold together in secret to help fight the Vector and their influence. They side more with the rebels but hold their own agenda as well as individual pirate crews that work together when needed. A lot of random pirate groups now raid and pillage for fame and money.
