They first fought against the Vectors with huge gains. The first captain to lead a crew against the Vectors was a female sorcerer named Calypso leading her crew (Crossing Serpents) on her ship the Odyssey. They were winning until the Vectors started turning pirates against themselves with the promise of power in the advanced technology and magic they had. With a handful of powerful captains and the advanced power the Vector held, together they overpowered any resistance to the Vectors influence and control.
