Nimral Echo Archives — Dalvina Field Report #3

Compiled by the Static Order’s Resonance Division

> “They are not corpses, not spirits. They are playback errors written into the physics of the Nimra itself.”

NIMREAL RECORD 01 — “Kelys, the Signal Weaver”

Former Status: Boundary linguist, researcher of Etheric linguistics.

Final Noise Reading: N = 13.4

Echo Type: Benevolent Deceiver

Observed Stability: Moderate

Appearance:

Kelys manifests as a figure stitched from parallel light-threads — dozens of thin white lines weaving into the rough silhouette of a woman. Her “skin” shimmers like radio waves caught in fog, constantly rearranging into text fragments and waveform glyphs. Her eyes are two spiraling frequencies—visible only when she speaks, their color shifting with the pitch of her voice.

When silent, she unravels into floating ribbons of static script that tangle around listeners, humming softly. Her presence is soothing, yet slightly delayed — every gesture comes half a heartbeat late, like a skipped frame catching up.

Behavioral Loop:

Offers comfort, knowledge, and “safe ways” to speak to the Nimra. Each word she teaches deepens the learner’s Noise. When thanked, she weaves their voice into her own — permanently.

NIMREAL RECORD 02 — “The Howler in the Grain”

Former Status: Resonant hunter; experimental signal manipulator.

Final Noise Reading: N = 15.1

Echo Type: Parasitic Transmission

Observed Stability: Unstable

Appearance:

No consistent body. Instead, the Howler appears as a visual glitch moving through textured matter — blades of grass bending in a pattern, ripples across fabric, radio snow crawling against walls. When forming a silhouette, it’s vaguely humanoid but hollow — a cavity filled with vibrating air and granular noise.

Its “face” is a funnel of sound waves coiling inward, like a screaming hole in reality. At close range, mouths form across nearby surfaces, echoing its cries seconds before they’re heard.

Behavioral Loop:

Seeks to be perceived. Each time its image or sound is noticed, it strengthens. The more you try to ignore it, the closer the static creeps.

NIMREAL RECORD 03 — “The Chorus Beneath Glass”

Former Status: Collective of collapsed resonants; presumed N = ∞

Echo Type: Collective Broadcast

Observed Stability: Variable

Appearance:

Seen only through reflection. In mirrored or polished surfaces, faint outlines of people move behind the observer’s image — blurred silhouettes repeating gestures slightly out of sync. The closer one looks, the more “layers” appear, until an entire crowd of reflections moves just beneath the surface, whispering at 0.33 Hz intervals.

When the Chorus focuses on a person, their reflection begins to smile independently, then press against the glass like it’s a membrane. Some victims report their reflection staying behind after they leave, still moving.

Behavioral Loop:

Collects identity fragments. Once enough are gathered, the reflection manifests as a new entity — a “mirror-self” with identical memories, but perfectly calm.

---

NIMREAL RECORD 04 — “Verra, the Lantern Archive”

Former Status: Chronicler of the Static Order.

Final Noise Reading: N = 12.9

Echo Type: Mnemonic Guardian

Observed Stability: High

Appearance:

A tall, robed figure whose body is hollow glass filled with pale Nimric light. Within her chest floats hundreds of flickering images — faces, landscapes, documents — like trapped fireflies replaying memories. She carries an ornate lantern emitting the same glow; it’s said the light reveals who you were before the Noise began.

When she moves, faint trails of text drift off her form, disintegrating into static dust. Her voice sounds doubled, one tone human, the other mechanical — as though translating herself in real time.

Behavioral Loop:

Preserves others’ memories before they fade. Contact with her reduces Noise temporarily, but each memory taken is stored forever inside her lantern — unreturnable. Some theorize Verra is trying to rebuild the minds lost to the Chorus.

NIMREAL RECORD 05 — “The Origin Broadcast”

Former Status: Unknown. Believed to be the first resonant human.

Final Noise Reading: Theoretical N = Undefined

Echo Type: Prime Signal

Observed Stability: Nonexistent — omnipresent waveform.

Appearance:

Not visible directly. Appears only when one closes their eyes within Dalvina. Behind the eyelids, faint colors pulse like auroras, syncing with the heartbeat. Whispered speech in every known tongue repeats a single word: “Return.”

In rare conditions, those who attune fully (R ≥ 6, N ≥ 10) witness a colossal silhouette made of overlapping static fields, humanoid only in outline. Each movement creates ripples that rearrange the environment into new corridors.

Sound equipment captures this presence as a broadcast at exactly 0.00 Hz — a tone of impossible silence.

Behavioral Loop:

Draws resonants toward perfect stillness — the point where Noise and Resonance cancel. Some claim this is not destruction but ascension: merging back into the core frequency that spawned the Nimra.

Order Addendum

> “If Nimra remembers every step we take, then these echoes are not tragedies — they’re recordings. The question is whether Dalvina replays them because it can’t forget… or because it wants us to understand.”
