Description

The Desert Skull Hound roams the arid wastelands, a spectral embodiment of malice and the restless dead. Its body appears as a gaunt canine creature, crafted from sun-bleached bones and accented with tattered, formless shrouds that ripple like heat waves in the desert. With an empty, hollow eye socket that glows with an otherworldly light and a maw that bears a chilling grin of sharpened, sand-encrusted teeth, this ghastly beast serves as a harbinger to wayward travelers.

Bite

The Desert Skull Hound makes a bite attack with its bony jaws. On a hit, it deals 2d6 piercing damage and the target must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or take an additional 1d8 necrotic damage.

Paralyzing Howl

Once per day, the Desert Skull Hound can unleash a frightful howl. Creatures within a 30-foot radius must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. A paralyzed target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns.
