The Cog-Preachers

Location: Lower levels of both hives

Outcasts from both the Synaxis and the Directive, these wanderers preach that machines and flesh must be one — neither above the other. They move between hives, baptizing scavengers in coolant and whispering that the “Machine Dream” is coming, when the city will awaken as one mind.

They are hunted by both powers but protected by the underhive gangs, who see them as prophets.

Belief: Unity through corruption; salvation through symbiosis.
Rumor: Their founder, Prophet Kallin, was once a high Synaxis augur who merged with a data-daemon and vanished into the Echo Depths.
