The Coil Dogs

Overview

The Coil Dogs are tech‑wired gangers of Sub-Level K, masters of scavenged augmetics, booby-trapped lairs, and surgical violence. Where the Iron Maw crush and burn, the Coil Dogs strike from the shadows — silent, precise, and merciless.

Their creed:

“Every wire bleeds. Every circuit obeys. Revenge is current.”

Coil Dogs are both feared and hated across Sub-Level K. Their attacks are almost always premeditated, layered with traps, electrified wire nets, and lethal implants. They thrive on sabotage, ambush, and the thrill of watching muscle-bound enemies pay for underestimating them.

Origins

The Coil Dogs emerged from the junkworks of Golganneth’s lower spires, where scavvers scavenged broken augmetics, servo-limbs, and discarded mech-gear. These scavvers were organized by a former Adeptus Mechanicus tech-priest, Vox Kane, who augmented his followers illegally with crude cyberware and taught them to turn technology into a weapon of vengeance.

When Sub-Level K became contested turf, the Coil Dogs were ready: a gang of tech-wraiths capable of outsmarting brute strength with circuits, traps, and calculated chaos.

Territory

  • Sub-Level K — “The Wireworks”
A network of hollowed-out machinery, broken data nodes, and trap-lined corridors. Vents hum with low-voltage arcs and scattered power conduits, creating a deadly environment for the unwary.

  • The Spark Alleyways
Narrow paths rigged with trip-wires, shock plates, and improvised landmines. Only a Dog knows the safe routes.

  • The Coil Vaults
Their hidden caches of stolen augment tech and scavenged implants. Anyone caught attempting to steal from these vaults is usually wired into a death-trap.

Leadership

Vox Kane — “Lord of the Coils”

“Pain is art. And I am the painter.”

Vox Kane is a former Mechanicus tech-priest whose mind was merged with a neural net during a forbidden augmentation experiment. Half-machine, half-man, he leads the Coil Dogs with ruthless precision. Kane views battle as circuitry — every enemy is a node, every fight a logic puzzle.

He personally oversees the creation of new implants, traps, and shock devices, and delights in teaching initiates to “bleed wire” — feeling pain transmitted through their neural augments for training and loyalty.
