Thornmarrow Reach

“In the garden of rot, even death must bloom.”

Overgrown ruins and root-choked monasteries mark Thornmarrow Reach, where nature reclaimed civilization in a fever of green. The Verdant Covenant, once healers of the forest, now serve decay itself. They see rot as sacred — the truest form of rebirth — and spread the Crimson Plague intentionally, believing it the world’s natural pruning.

The air here is thick with spores that whisper in unison. The forests glow faintly at night, lit by fungal bioluminescence. Beneath the Rootspire Abbey, the earth’s veins run red-green — sap and blood entwined. Travelers who linger too long sprout vines from their flesh and hear the voice of the forest promising peace in surrender.

The Covenant is not malicious; they believe themselves midwives of a better world. But in Thornmarrow, mercy and infection are the same word.
