Sea Routes of Eldrath

Sea Routes of Eldrath

The seas between Aldor, Vorak and Valdrim form Eldrath's busiest maritime trade network. Merchant vessels, fishing boats and passenger ships sail these waters throughout the year, transporting goods, travelers and news between the three great ports. While the routes are well established and regularly traveled, storms, reefs and pirates ensure that no voyage is ever completely without risk.

Vorak serves as the central hub of the network. Ships travel directly between Vorak Harbor and Aldor Harbor, as well as between Vorak Harbor and Valdrim Harbor. Because of Vorak's strategic location along the coast, nearly every long-distance voyage passes through its docks.

Rather than owning a vessel, most travelers make use of the Harbor Ferrymen, Eldrath's official ferry guild. For a fee, passengers board one of the guild's ferries traveling along the established routes. Each harbor maintains its own fleet, allowing travelers to simply disembark upon arrival and continue their journey aboard another ferry if needed. The ships themselves remain in service, constantly transporting new passengers between the ports.

There is no direct sea route between Aldor and Valdrim. Travelers sailing between the two must first arrive in Vorak, where they transfer to another ferry before continuing their journey. This makes Vorak one of the most important trade centers in western Eldrath, with merchants, sailors and adventurers from every corner of the region crossing paths along its crowded quays.
