No expedition has ever confirmed what lies beyond the point where the bridge vanishes beneath the lake. Divers who attempted to follow its path either returned claiming the bridge continued far deeper than the lake should allow, or never resurfaced at all, leaving behind only abandoned boats drifting across the still water.

The people living nearby believe the lake should never be disturbed. They refuse to fish above the submerged bridge and warn travelers never to cast stones into the water after sunset, insisting that the silence beneath the surface is not empty, but listening. On rare mornings, fresh wet footprints have been found leading from the lake to the shore—only to vanish a few paces later without explanation.
